This sweet boy was at a shelter and was actually brought to the euthanization room to die. He was pulled by Iron Paw Rescue just in time. A woman named Angela was able to pick him up and get him into a temporary foster home where she oversaw his care for 5 weeks. She called Lake Tahoe Wolf Rescue now we are working with Women for Wolves to help Ash blossom into the healthy beauty he should be. He is being rehabilitated at WfW and soon will be rehomed.

We are looking for someone with escape-proof containment [7' fencing, dig guard], and no kids/cats/little dogs. A person who works at home/retired or around a lot that has time to spend with this handsome boy would be ideal to help him acclimate to his new home. A nice large female companion would be great as an ambassador for Ash.

Beloved Nuni needs a home within a month

[mid June].  Owners have had her since a baby at 8 weeks. They recently moved into an RV and it is not conducive for two female northern-breed dogs in tight quarters. [We do not place females with females] Poor Nuni had to wear a muzzle all the time and was not happy living with another female.

The other female dog was rehomed to a friend, and Nuni has a month to find a home as well. She would do better in a home with a large yard and more enrichment. Nuni is spayed, loves male dogs, but any dog bigger than her scares her, which causes her to be a little defensive. She just needs someone that can teach her trust and work with socializing. Owners have worked with a trainer and she is doing much better.

Nuni walks nicely on leash, has good recall off leash and is well behaved indoors. Nuni is not an escape artist and is fine in 6' fencing, rides great in the car, and would love to come home with you into a calm and disciplined environment with lots of love and exercise.

She currently enjoys hikes and swims at the Lake so hoping she can stay in that area. DNA results are available. She is a Native American Indian Dog [bought from a breeder] and is very beautiful.

Here is Nuni with her old roommate, hanging out at the Lake.

Please give Nuni a new home where she can feel comfortable and happy. She is very adoptable! She is fine with other females when not living with them!

Another beautiful pup was found in Sacramento, same area as our Layla [who is adopted now]. This girl was seen standing in a busy street in the pouring rain, howling! A kind woman opened her car door and the Lilith jumped in!

Lilith's nails were worn down to the quick which indicates she was trying to dig out of concrete. Three of her teeth are cracked from biting at a wire kennel or chain. She was very underweight. This poor girl suffered from a previous life.

We call her Loving Lilith because she can be shy at first, but she is a beautiful bundle of cuddles and fun! She adores her people and would love a male companion to romp around and play with. We call her Loving Lilith because she can be shy at first, but she is a beautiful bundle of cuddles and fun! She adores her people and would love a male companion to romp around and play with. Lilith should not be left alone for long as she gets a little nervous. Ideally she needs someone who works from home or is home often and has a male canine companion. She does well with most dogs and is social outside of her home,  but is best living with large dogs.

She responds very well to recall when in the woods, is not prone to escaping, and just wants to be with her people. She is leash trained, house trained, and learns very quickly. It's a wonderful joy to watch how much she loves to run free and play! She can be a couch potato as long as she gets out for a good romp at least once a day.

Lilith does okay with cats, but will chase them if they run. She has not shown any aggression with cats, just curiosity and playfulness. We prefer a home without cats, small dogs or children. She also needs more training off leash as she will chase cats, small dogs, or wildlife

Lilith loves to snuggle and be with you. She is still a lit

Lilith loves to snuggle and be with you. She is still a little afraid of going out on a leash in a busy neighborhood with loud noises or anything new. Her foster was taking her up into the forest where Lilith is more comfortable and feels at home.

In Astrology, Lilith means Nourish Your Heart and Soul. Lilith is the nicest pup ever. Her Foster Mom is moving and can't keep her. Lilith has to find a loving, forever

home very soon.

This boy loves other dogs and is incredibly socially intelligent. Typically submissive meeting a new dog, he understands proper dog language. He is ok with small dogs but is not around them much and has limited experience. He walks nicely on leash with a gentle leader, but off leash

he wants to go on walkabouts.

Needs some recall training.

Combie has excellent house manners, does not go in kitchen or on the furniture and is not destructive. Combie is kept outdoors and seems to be more comfortable now. He was a little anxious being indoors at night from PTSD

Combie has excellent house manners, does not go in kitchen or on the furniture and is not destructive. Combie is kept outdoors and seems to be more comfortable now. He was a little anxious being indoors at night from PTSD

In January a fire started in owner's pantry in the middle of the night. Combie had been locked in his crate throughout the chaos and has suffered PTSD from it. After that he started getting anxious and resisted being crated. He started having panic attacks. We can explain more about this if you are interested.

Recently Combie started working with our behaviorist to help him get past this anxiety and is doing really good. He has his moments of insecurity but the owners are helping him learn to trust again. His owners love him dearly and are doing everything to keep their beautiful boy.

This boy is a real sweetheart.

Combie gets two nice hikes or walks a day and loves to play with his humans and neighbor dog.

So far this boy has progressed into a mature and confident dog with regular exercises and confident handling. Combie just needed a structured and calm home with disciplined handlers.

We are hoping that Combie will stay with his owners - forever!
