RIVER

Transportation  help available

VERY URGENT!

END OF DECEMBER IS HIS DEADLINE TO BE ADOPTED

Stunning River is NOW URGENT! his owner wants him out by December 31st!

This boy is only 8 months old, has all vaccinations and he weighs about 60 lbs.

He could gain a little weight.

Owner has had him since a 2-m/o pup but he is more than they can handle. River is a bit young to be neutered but he needs to be neutered for adoption.

River lives with 3 large, male companions and is playful, energetic, and submissive with all dogs. He is very shy of humans and will try to avert when out leash walking.

River has the typical fear of strangers and needs a very wolfdog-experienced home.

7' fencing is required - or 6' with lean ins - and dig guard. He would need a home with other dogs as he does not do well without canine companions.

River's recall is good at a dog park where he will come back with his buddies but if he is scared or alone, all bets are off.

River will go for car rides with another dog, but if he is alone in the car he gets very anxious and car sick. River is a sweet young pup with his whole life ahead of him. He is a good boy - not to mention drop-dead gorgeous - and responsive to training.

He is smart and a fast learner!

He needs a new owner fast!

Transportation help to River's new home is available! We would love a home in a cool climate where River can play in the snow with a nice canine companion or two. DNA results to serious Potential Adopters.

If you are interested in meeting River and are a wolfdog-experienced adopter, please click on the link below and follow the directions. This short questionnaire will help us make a better match!

TIMBER

Elk Grove CA

Look at this magnificent Timber!

Alaskan Malamute/mix at its finest.

Timber is 5 years old, neutered, and has lived with his owners since he was 3 months old. Unfortunately, Timber does not do well in a busy, urban environment,

and needs a quieter home in a more rural setting. He has beautiful gold eyes that will look into your soul and ask you for help.

At 75 lbs., Timber will walk nicely on leash with an experienced handler, but he will pull someone if they are not used to handling a big boy. He has been to Doggie Day Care and played with other dogs with no issues. He currently lives in a home with an infant and a toddler and that can be disconcerting for a dog that likes a calm, disciplined environment.

 !

Timber also lives with other dogs and can resource guard if no boundaries are set, or if food drops on the floor from the children. Timber has some basic training and is a healthy sweet boy. He just needs some boundaries and more training. He likes to ride in the car tethered on a harness in the back seat.

Timber is currently in an enclosure with 8" fencing and does have separation anxiety if left alone for too long. He has uncontrolled anxiety especially when it thunders and rains, there are loud noises in the neighborhood, neighbors having parties, fireworks, having many visitors over, or when owners leave on vacation. He can go to a groomer without any issues. He has extreme firework sensitivity and will hurt himself trying to get inside the house if he is kenneled outside or in the garage during a storm.

He wants to be inside with the family so he gets stressed out when they cannot bring him inside with the children. This poor boy really needs someone who understands his needs and can be around with him a lot.

Timber is extremely loving and will lie on his back to get all the belly rubs he can get. He is the sweetest dog and loves to be hugged and get in the blankets with you. He wants to be around his people and loves the attention.

In a home setting Timber tries to be dominant with their other male dog by marking his territory, humping, jumping and laying on top of him and barks at him any time he comes in contact with him, especially if it is around mealtimes.

It is obvious this boy, Timber, needs a calm, disciplined home with experienced adults, and would be so happy as an only dog or with a large, female companion he can play with. Owners are able to help with transportation to a new home in northern California or Nevada.

STORM needs a home fast!

STORM - 10-mo-old male pup with Paws Without Borders Rescue in Tucson AZ

About a month ago, a team of trappers (HARTT) finally managed to capture a pup that had been out loose in the Phoenix area for over 3 months.

Storm is currently in foster with a pack of rescue huskies. Storm needs very experienced handler as he is an extreme flight risk. He howls when alone and is extremely skittish. Foster can leash him up and handle him once he’s settled but he is very timid with people.

 !

He runs the perimeter of the acreage looking for an escape. Storm is contained in a sheep paddock with 8’ tall fencing and foster is working with him every day.

This pup is sweet, very beta/passive, demonstrates zero aggression and interacts with her dogs just fine. He has been fully vetted and neutered. He cannot go to just any home.

Foster says:

"Storm is so sweet. Once he’s relaxed, he will allow me to sit with him and pet or brush him. He takes food gently out of my hands too. He really needs a pack of his own that will accept him and play with him. Storm finds comfort in other mates. His howl is soulful and endearing. He had been attacked by coyotes when he came to me but has been completely mended - allowed the vets to handle him with relative ease. He tends to freeze or retreat when nervous. I love this little guy and would love to see him in an environment he can thrive in."

Wolfdog or feral-dog experience extremely helpful for adoption - someone around a lot to continue his training [works at home, retired, etc.] or a sanctuary that can rehabilitate him for his forever home.  DNA results soon to come. Storm will need escape-proof containment as he is a flight risk.

Transportation help to his new home is available! We would love a home in a cool climate where Storm can play in the snow with a nice canine companion or two.

If you are interested in meeting Storm and you are looking to adopt, please click on the link below and follow the directions. This short questionnaire will help us make a better match!

This guy is very flamboyant if you will. Just imagine him with a cocktail in his paw looking for conversation at a party. That is Kreme - from his walk, the way he sits - to his squeaks/moans and vocalization. He is classic. He likes to stay close and I believe would make a great hiking companion

for someone active.

Kreme is very lovable and affectionate and plays well with the older females but does try to boss the younger females sometimes. He will growl at other male dogs but avoids them if they are not kenneled. Kreme will be so much better once he is neutered which is coming soon. On the other hand he does play good with a couple of the boys. However, Kreme would be fine alone as he is a people dog, or with an older female.

Look at that beautiful face!

Simi Valley, CA

one of 12 dogs abandoned in Shasta

all need homes

Bean Bean - currently in foster - is a gentle 1½- to 2-year-old beautyboy. Bean Bean has been with the foster mom for about a year so he has learned a lot. His calm, patient nature makes him a true joy to have around.

His approximate weight: 50–55 lbs . Bean's Height: 24–26 inches at the shoulder  - Physique: Broad, sturdy build  - and his Health Status: Excellent
Training and Obedience - Crate, kennel, and house trained  - Leash trained and improving daily  - Responds reliably to verbal commands, including:   go to your room  - stop that - stay out of the plants - no shenanigans - let’s go - let’s get some water    - go to bed - cookie time - stop barking - no nonsense you - come here - and last but not least, let’s find Pighead!

Temperament and Social Behavior

Bean is the embodiment of tranquility. He is never aggressive toward humans or other dogs and shows no food aggression.

Within our six-foot fenced yard he has never attempted to escape and remains loyally by my side. In a group setting, Bean tends to be more reserved, preferring to play gently with other low-key dogs and is very affectionate.

During mealtimes and treat distribution, he waits patiently for his name to be called, even if he’s the last one to eat.

I know Bean would love to come home with you! He would also like a nice large female to play with but as an only dog he would do fine too. An active owner who likes to hike and lives in a cool climate would be perfect!

Bean got his name because he likes to eat Foster mom's string beans in her garden!

Please help us get these babies into wonderful loving homes. They deserve nothing but the best.

Most are 3 years old or under.

Here's  Pulchritudinous Aphrodite!

Aphrodite is an affectionate girl who has proven to be exceptionally easy to work with. She is loyal, obedient, and always eager to please. Ditey is 2–3 years old, weighs 45-55 lbs, broad sturdy build and in excellent health.

Aphrodite is highly approachable and submissive toward humans. She responds reliably to a variety of communications, including ... go to your room; stop that; stay out of the plants; no shenanigans; let’s go get some water; go to bed; let’s find Pighead - She seems to understand everything I say!

This is Aphrodite and Kreme  [above] playing

Aphrodite's leash training is progressing well; she walks politely without pulling. Within our six-foot fenced yard, she has never attempted to escape and remains close by. In a group of dogs, she truly shines — playful, loving, and always inviting others to chase her toys, both boys and girls. She will hold her ground if another female dog tries to dominate, but she never escalates to biting or aggression.

Aphrodite can be a bit skittish with men. However, based on her calm temperament and friendly disposition toward all visitors, we are confident she would adjust well. Men just have to be a little more patient with her in the beginning.

Look at that beautiful tail!

Training and Obedience:

Crate, kennel, and house trained; Leash trained and loves to please.

All are 3 years old or under.
