SNOWY
Reno Nevada
Look at this gorgeous creature.
Snowy is only 5 years old, weighs about 70 lbs, is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is in excellent health.
Her temperament is truly exceptional. Snowy is incredibly friendly, exhibiting no shyness and a remarkably submissive demeanor. She has never shown any aggression, nor has she ever bitten anyone. She integrates beautifully with other animals, demonstrating great compatibility with both small and large dogs as well as cats [although we do not rehome with cats, tiny dogs or children]. Food aggression is not an issue for her and she should continue to have a fresh real-meat and veggies diet.
At home, Snowy is a true gem. Perfectly house trained, respectful and has no separation anxiety. Note: She does not like to be in a kennel [typical]. Her daily exercise is a visit to a park or nice hike in the woods. She does pull on leash, so needs a bit of training in that area.

Snowy is an incredibly talented escape artist. She does not walk well on a leash and is prone to slipping out and running off, especially in environments without a secure perimeter. Since the owner does not have a fence, Snowy needs a new home with a secure enclosure [6' fence with lean ins, or 7'] and should be walked on a double leash [one on harness, one on Martingale Collar]. She has not had formal training which contributes to her leash manners, but she is highly intelligent and responds well to kindness and consistency.
Snowy is a wonderful dog who, with the right environment and consistent training, will bring immense joy to her new owners. An experienced wolfdog owner and handler would be wonderful for this girl.
Snow country would be a plus!
Transportation help to you is available.

No kids, cats, little dogs please. A calm adult home would be best and she loves women. The current male adult in the household is a bit rough and it makes her a little afraid of men, but she loves women!

Meet Harry!
This handsome, young 4 y/o boy really needs a new home. He was rescued 2 years ago and has been literally living in a small yard for the last two years.
Here is Harry in his lonely yard.
Harry has had no walks because his senior owner can fall easily and dog walkers are not in the budget. Harry is not allowed indoors either. He did come in once during a cold night and was very well behaved, snuggled down and slept. Harry did have an accident or two but housetraining this guy would be easy as he is smart!
Harry has never tried to escape - maybe because he is afraid of what's out there in this busy neighborhood. He would fare well in a more rural setting with fewer cars and noises. Even though he currently only has about 4' fencing, we would prefer someone with a 6' fence. Also, a nice friendly, female doggie friend would be awesome for him!

Harry is probably the sweetest pup you will ever meet, submissive, and shy - and just needs to learn to trust people.
Harry has never really had any socialization in the last 2 years. He is afraid of his senior owner and won't come to her, but she doesn't really spend much time getting to know him.
Owner does take good care of him, and he gets his exams and vaccinations when needed, so Harry is in good health. She rescued Harry because a friend was moving and going to bring him to a shelter.
Harry needs a wolfdog-experienced owner with lots of time for socializing, training, and to go hiking so he can meet some new doggie friends [he ignores other dogs on a walk and is not reactive]. He does want to chase cats and that's why the owner is afraid to walk Harry, for fear of getting pulled down again.

Harry is about 50 lbs, lightweight and lanky and he will be neutered before adoption. He has heterochromia. One beautiful blue eye and one stunning gold eye! More photos to come!
Let's help this sweet boy find a home with someone who understands him and will give him lots of love and attention.

STORM
The Perfect and Beautiful STORM
11-mo-old male pup with
Paws Without Borders Rescue
Tucson AZ
Months ago, a team of trappers (HARTT) finally managed to capture a pup that had been out loose in the Phoenix area for over three months.
Storm is currently in foster with a pack of rescue Huskies and they all get along beautifully. Storm needs an experienced handler as he is a bit of a flight risk if he got loose. He loves to be with his pack and may howl when alone.
He will now come to his person when loose in the enclosure and Foster can leash him up and handle him all over, brushing him and loving on him, but he is still timid with new people. Storm is getting more socializing with humans on a regular basis and this shy boy is ready forhis new home.

In a new home Storm will need to acclimate for a while and learn to trust his new owner - and soon he will be just fine. Storm is contained in a paddock with 8’ tall fencing and foster is working with him every day.
This pup is sweet, very beta/passive, demonstrates zero aggression and interacts with her dogs just fine. He has been fully vetted and neutered. He would do best with a wolfdog-experienced owner. Someone who understands his needs.
Foster says:
"Storm is so sweet. Once he’s relaxed, he will allow me to sit with him and pet or brush him. He takes food gently out of my hands too. He really needs a pack of his own that will accept him and play with him. Storm finds comfort in other mates. His howl is soulful and endearing. He had been attacked by coyotes when he came to me but has been completely mended. - He allowed the vets to handle him with relative ease because he tends to freeze or retreat when nervous. I love this little guy and would love to see him in an environment he can thrive in."

Wolfdog or feral-dog experience extremely helpful for adoption - someone around a lot to continue his training [works at home, retired, etc.]. DNA results available for qualified adopters. Storm will need escape-proof containment.
Transportation help to his new home is available! We would love a home in a cool climate where Storm can play in the snow with a nice canine companion or two.

ADOPTED!
Senior sister and brother need a new home ASAP. British Columbia
Transportation help available!
Chief and Raven are about 11 years old, in good health, have perfect energy, and are calm and loving companions in and around the house. Their senior owners can no longer keep them and are desperate to find a loving home for their beloved friends.

Owner says they are great at protecting property from wildlife, are used to relaxing around outside, being walked in mellow walks 2 times a day, and otherwise sleep on an enclosed porch or inside the home [housetrained].
These pups love being in the woods and playing in creeks. They have been well loved all these years and now find themselves threatened of going to a shelter if a home is not found right away. A no-kill shelter has agreed to take them but they will spend the rest of their lives in a cage.

If you can help these two beautiful pups by fostering or adopting them - together - please click on the link below and just follow the directions.
This form is used for Fosters too.

ADOPTED!
Lake Tahoe, NV
1 1/2-year-old White German Shepherd
Florence
This sweet little White Shepherd wound up at a kill shelter - thin, scared and very pregnant! Unfortunately, the shelter decided to spay her anyway, which resulted in a difficult recovery for this poor pup.
Luckily a kind Rescue woman picked her up, fostered her temporarily, and then arranged for Florence to go to Tahoe where Florence will continue to recuperate at another Rescue.
Florence will soon need a permanent home with someone who will be around a lot to give her lots of love and attention (Retired, works at home etc.), and maybe another canine companion. She deserves it!

This sweetie weighs about 55lbs now but will gain a bit more with some healthy food and vitamin supplements. Florence is good with other dogs and I'm told she is even good with cats. She is very gentle and loving and right now just wants to be cuddled. She walks nicely on leash, housetrained and kenneled trained.
We don't usually rehome to those with tiny dogs/kids/cats but Florence may find happiness in a home with a kitty and a smaller dog - she is very gentle - as long as the Adopter knows how to properly introduce and monitor playtime.
Florence is a lucky girl to have found this angel to foster her. She will grow strong and playful in no time! We will keep you updated on her progress.

We would love to hear from you - and so would Florence!

Rocky ADOPTED!
South Lake Tahoe
Is loving his new home!
Rocky is such a pup!
Only 1 year, 3 months old]
Stunning Hazel eyes, 85 lbs,
and up to date on vaccinations
Needs to be neutered for adoption
Rocky loves to play with other dogs, but being a big young guy, he plays a little rough.
He needs an owner that will monitor his playtime and let him know when to be gentle.
Rocky walks nicely on leash with slight pulling.
He's well behaved indoors, kennel and housetrained.

Rocky was saved from the shelter and is in a temporary foster home. His foster is doing some training with him and he learns quickly.
Rocky can be left home alone with no destruction for short periods of time, but does counter surf, so some training in this area would be beneficial.
Rocky currently has 6' fencing and gets two walks a day, but he would love some real hiking in the snow, swimming in the lake or splashing in creeks. He has a slight allergy to chicken, gets itchy. A real-meat diet is best for this boy - beef, lamb or pork.
Rocky is submissive with adults and children but we do not rehome to those with children/small dogs or cats.

Malamutes need a calm disciplined environment, a nice fenced yard for those times when you are not around, as well as someone home a lot to play with [retired, works at home etc.].
